Butte won the last time they faced Hellgate and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-3 win. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Brea Henderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Butte got a massive performance out of Mattie Stepan, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and one double. That double was Stepan's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brittyn Klima, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
