 The Mountain Heritage Cougars came tearing into  Thursday's  game with 18 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding  71-30 win over Madison at home. Mountain Heritage has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16  matchups by 24  points or more this season.
 It was another big night for  Keira Wilson, who  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 11  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Kaydence Kooles, who  scored 15 points.
 Mountain Heritage's win was  their tenth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 23-2. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
 Mountain Heritage and Avery County will face off  at 6:30  p.m.  on February 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountain Heritage knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Avery County likes a good challenge. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Randleman at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Randleman will roll in looking for their  14th straight  win, something Madison surely won't give up without a fight.
