Oswego kept a clean sheet against Lincoln-Way East on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Griffins. Give Oswego's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

The victory got Oswego back to even at 5-5. As for Lincoln-Way East, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oswego will host Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln-Way East, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Lincoln-Way Central at 6:15 p.m. Lincoln-Way Central's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
