Lovejoy is a perfect 7-0 against Melissa since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Leopards are taking a road trip to take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

Lovejoy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: McKinney North, who was ranked tenth at the time (Lovejoy was ranked 17th). The Leopards fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs on Friday. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Lovejoy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Melissa had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Yellow Jackets 3-0.

Melissa walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-8.

Melissa's victory bumped their record up to 21-15. As for Lovejoy, their loss dropped their record down to 27-12.

Lovejoy took their win against Melissa when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Leopards since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
