Recap: Music Mountain Warriors vs. Ash Fork Spartans
The Music Mountain Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight loss. Their rough 41-20 defeat to Ash Fork might stick with them for a while.
Ash Fork's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Crystal Nixon, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Aura Mendez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Music Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Ash Fork, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Music Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pinon at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024. As for Ash Fork, they will be playing at home against Seligman at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seligman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
