Softball Recap: Virginia City Falls Short of Pyramid Lake in the Playoffs

Virginia City and Pyramid Lake squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Virginia City had to settle for second. They lost 22-7 to the Lakers. The Muckers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Bity Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tesla Turley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Virginia City's record now sits at 13-10-1. As for Pyramid Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Virginia City nor Pyramid Lake have any future games scheduled.
