The Roswell Coyotes will take on the New Mexico Military Institute Colts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roswell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Roswell after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lovington.

Roswell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joaquin Bolanos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Bolanos also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Elias Lujan was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, New Mexico Military Institute didn't have quite enough to beat Chaparral last Tuesday and fell 3-1.

New Mexico Military Institute's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Roswell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
