The Cassadaga Valley Cougars had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Panama 56-29 on Friday. Cassadaga Valley has struggled against Panama recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Carter Brink went supernova for Panama, scoring 26 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Mescall, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Cassadaga Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Panama, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ellicottville the next time they take the court. Cassadaga Valley will host Ellicottville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Panama will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
