Football Game Preview: Angleton Wildcats vs. Kingwood Park Panthers + How To Watch

The Angleton Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Kingwood Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Angleton's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Angleton humbled Friendswood with a 41-6 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kaleb Jammer had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 111 receiving yards and two scores, while also punching in one TD on the ground. Another player making a difference was Bryce Duron, who threw for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Angleton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Another reason for the win was Angleton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Landon Miles and Brynden Mack, who racked up four sacks between them. Miles also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Another thorn in Friendswood's side was Payton Coon, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Meanwhile, Kingwood Park played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 52-7 loss at the hands of Crosby. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Angleton's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Kingwood Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Angleton against Kingwood Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
