Volleyball Recap: Victory Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Victory Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Front Range Baptist Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.

While Victory Prep Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Front Range Baptist's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Front Range Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Gerrard, who had eight kills and three aces. Gerrard has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last four times she's played. Leni Dorfeld was another key player, getting five kills and four aces.

Victory Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Front Range Baptist, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Victory Prep Academy nor Front Range Baptist have any future games scheduled.
