Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayzata). They put the hurt on the Hopkins Royals with a sharp 12-2 victory on Wednesday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Wayzata pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Hopkins, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayzata will venture away from home to take on Minneapolis Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hopkins, they will head out to challenge Edina at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight.
