Basketball Recap: Simla's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Simla strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Denver Christian Thunder. This was payback for the Cubs, who suffered a 59-58 loss the last time these two teams met.

Simla found their leader in freshman Trenna Kocerha, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 15 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Amendt, who posted six points and three steals.

Simla smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.
