Soccer Game Preview: Troy vs. Rochester

The Troy Colts are taking a road trip to square off against the Rochester Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Troy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Hartland, who was ranked 14th at the time (Troy was ranked 16th). The Colts walked away with a 4-2 win over the Eagles on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Troy considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Rochester kept a clean sheet against Salem on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Rocks. The win made it back-to-back victories for Rochester.

Troy's record is now 9-4-2. As for Rochester, their record now sits at 13-1-3.

Troy beat Rochester by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
