Baseball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island suffered their closest loss since March 15, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 8-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hilton Head Island saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dashel DesNoyers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that DesNoyers scored this season. Another was Jack Boatwright, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Hilton Head Island's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Coming up, Hilton Head Island is taking a road trip to face off against Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th.
