Softball Recap: West End Gets the Win

West End won the last time they faced Gaston and things went their way on Friday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Kennedi Nix, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie Pierce, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

West End's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Gaston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season.

West End has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Cherokee County on the 5th. As for Gaston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Appalachian on the 5th.
