Softball Recap: Forbes Road Gets the Win

Forbes Road's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Southern Fulton Indians by a score of 10-7. Considering Forbes Road's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Forbes Road got a massive performance out of Mykenzie Vinson, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Vinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gretchen Flemming, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Forbes Road's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Southern Fulton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forbes Road will host Tussey Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Fulton, they will be playing at home against Meyersdale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
