Softball Recap: Brearley Comes Up Short

Brearley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dayton Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on April 8th.

Brearley's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Dayton, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Coming up, Brearley will be playing at home against Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dayton, they will head out to challenge Metuchen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
