Rock Port entered their tilt with South Holt on Monday with 12 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 13. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 14-5 victory. The Blue Jays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Corbyn Jakub made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Westyn Amthor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayden Cook, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Rock Port was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Holt only posted a batting average of .276.

Rock Port pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for South Holt, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Port will welcome Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Jays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for South Holt, they will be playing at home against Stanberry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
