Mercedes has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Donna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Mercedes Tigers will head out to  square off against the Donna Redskins  at 6:30  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mercedes has five straight  victories, Donna has six straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday,  everything went Mercedes' way against Pace as Mercedes made off with  a  12-2 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven matchups by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
The team  relied heavily on  Ashley De Leon, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayla Garza, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Mercedes was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .382 or higher in three consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Donna lost  17-1 to Lopez on Monday.
 Mercedes' victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Donna, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-1.
 Everything went Mercedes' way against Donna in their previous matchup  back in February, as Mercedes made off with  a  15-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mercedes since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
