Baseball Game Preview: Catonsville Comets vs. Parkville Knights

The Catonsville Comets will take on the Parkville Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Catonsville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Franklin just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Comets have suffered since March 21st.

Meanwhile, Parkville won against Western Tech & Environmental Science on Monday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Knights came out on top against Perry Hall by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Nick Rodriguez and Kiel Lewis did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Lewis went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Parkville is undefeated when Rodriguez posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

Parkville's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Catonsville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-5.
