Overton is 0-6 against Cordova since April of 2015 but things could change  on Monday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to  challenge the Wolves  at 5:00  p.m. Overton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1  runs per game  this season.
On Friday, Overton made easy work of Sheffield  and carried off  a  13-5 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.
 Overton let  Tamarge Carey and  Jeremiah Haynes run wild. Carey  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with six  stolen bases and two  runs, while  Haynes  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  runs  Haynes has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Dillard, who  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Meanwhile, Cordova fell victim to First Assembly Christian and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They lost  10-0 to the Crusaders. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Overton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6-1.
