Baseball Game Preview: Springfield Tigers vs. Pymatuning Valley Lakers

The Springfield Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Pymatuning Valley Lakers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Springfield will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

On Tuesday, Springfield made easy work of Waterloo and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Skippers.

He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Croston, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Pymatuning Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
