Softball Recap: Spirit of Life Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Spirit of Life Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the Community Christian Cyclones, falling 24-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 two weeks ago.

Spirit of Life Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Parker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Spirit of Life Christian Academy moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Community Christian, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0-1.

Looking ahead, Spirit of Life Christian Academy will be playing at home against Mintz Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season. As for Community Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-11 win against New Bern Christian Academy on the 8th.
