Basketball Recap: Hilltop Christian Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Hilltop Christian had won two straight home games and Meleah Bell did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Hilltop Christian Chargers skirted past the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors 37-35 thanks in part to Bell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Alaina Cash was another key player, putting up five points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Jacksonville Christian Academy lost, don't look at Nylah Moore. Despite the final result, she posted 22 points and five steals. That was a full 62.9% of Jacksonville Christian Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Paradysz, who put up eight points in addition to 12 boards and four blocks.

Hilltop Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.1 points per game. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
