Softball Recap: Winner Takes a Loss

If Winner was riding high fresh off their 24-13 takedown of Parkston on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Maree Pravecek made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Pederson, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Winner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mobridge-Pollock, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Winner will challenge Hanson at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mobridge-Pollock has already played their next contest (against Colome), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
