Baseball Recap: Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES vs. Mid Valley Spartans        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mount Carmel had no problem doing just that  on Monday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the Mid Valley Spartans. The  victory was nothing new for Mount Carmel as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Johnny Morgante was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Gavin Lasko, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 On Mid Valley's side, they got a good showing from  Cooper Lukasavage, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Lukasavage has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Mid Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nick Mills, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Mount Carmel is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season. As for Mid Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
 Mount Carmel is on the road again  on Thursday to play Trinity. Trinity is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season. Mid Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
