Basketball Recap: Universal Academy Comes Up Short

Universal Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 46-28 fall against the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 55-18 to them when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Universal Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Universal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they will challenge Everest Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Everest Collegiate comes in on nine and Our Lady of the Lakes on eight.
