It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Toledo had no problem doing just that on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Raymond Seagulls 8-7. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 6-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Toledo has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Raymond fell to 3-1.

Toledo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Seagulls: the pair will be back at it again later today.
