Football Recap: Whitesboro Bearcats vs. North Lamar Panthers
Whitesboro took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past the North Lamar Panthers 48-25. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bearcats had established a 21 point advantage.
Whitesboro found their leader in underclassman Colt Fagan, who threw for 176 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Bomar was another key player, picking up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Whitesboro wouldn't let North Lamar keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Korbin Ross, Mason Scarbrough, and Austin Freeman picked up one apiece. Ross' also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Whitesboro will take on Bells at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Lamar, they will welcome Farmersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Lamar will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
