Medina Valley put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Antonian Prep Apaches. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Apaches, too.

The team relied heavily on Jake Phillips, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Reese Hatcher, who scored a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Medina Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antonian Prep struck out 13 times.

Medina Valley pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for Antonian Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1.

Coincidentally, Medina Valley and Antonian Prep will both be playing Pearsall the next time they take the field. Medina Valley will host Pearsall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Antonian Prep will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
