Softball Game Preview: Maple Shade Wildcats vs. Gloucester County Tech

The Maple Shade Wildcats will face off against Gloucester County Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Gloucester County Tech took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Maple Shade, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Maple Shade and Pemberton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 17-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Gloucester County Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Kingsway on Wednesday and fell 8-7.

Cameryn Hilliard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Madison Kroupa was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

With the win, Maple Shade broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-9. As for Gloucester County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
