Basketball Recap: Nasir Barnes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodland Hills

After losing to Woodland Hills the last time they met, William Penn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The William Penn Bearcats took down the Woodland Hills Wolverines 55-41 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead William Penn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nasir Barnes, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Warde, who had nine points.

William Penn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Woodland Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the William Penn Bearcats challenge the Dallastown Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Hills has already played their next contest (against New Castle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
