Basketball Recap: Limestone Gets the Win

Limestone hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Limestone Rockets managed a 69-65 win over the Washington Panthers. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by exactly four points.

The victory got Limestone back to even at 11-11. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Limestone and Washington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Limestone will challenge Morton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 206 places (215 vs. 9). Similarly, Washington (ranked 246th) will meet Streator (ranked 119th) at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
