Basketball Game Preview: Conifer Lobos vs. Dakota Ridge Eagles

Conifer is 0-4 against Dakota Ridge since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Conifer Lobos will welcome the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Conifer's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Dakota Ridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Conifer's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Littleton offense got past them. Conifer took a 57-40 bruising from Littleton on Wednesday. The Lobos were down 48-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Dakota Ridge played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Green Mountain 56-14. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dakota Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Conifer, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Conifer was taken down by Dakota Ridge 59-18 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Conifer, Maryn Talyat (who went 6 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
