Baseball Recap: Jordan Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

With a playoff win on the line, Jordan rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wakefield Wolverines by a score of 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Luke Samples, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Wakefield off the board. Samples has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Logan Greene was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Jordan's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wakefield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 24-4-1 record.

Coming up, Jordan will take on Laney on Friday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
