Northmont came out on top against Fairmont on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Thunderbolts had just enough and edged out the Firebirds 8-7. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Firebirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Northmont's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Fairmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Coming up, Northmont will be playing in front of their home fans against Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbolts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Fairmont, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fairborn at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
