Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Mirada). They breezed by the Legacy Tigers to the tune of 105-37 on Monday. Given the Matadores' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Tigers are ranked 794th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for La Mirada and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

La Mirada will be taking part in a tournament against Rancho Cucamonga at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Cucamonga knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully La Mirada likes a good challenge. As for Legacy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bell at 4:45 p.m.
