Basketball Recap: Mingo Central Takes a Loss

Mingo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 72-65 to the Lawrence County Bulldogs.

Mingo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lawrence County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Mingo Central will face off against Robert C. Byrd at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Mingo Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Robert C. Byrd likes a good challenge. As for Lawrence County, they have already played their next game, a 76-59 victory against Betsy Layne on the 8th.
