Basketball Recap: Spanaway Lake Comes Up Short

Spanaway Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-68 heartbreaker at the hands of the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Sentinels still had to take the loss.

Spanaway Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Graham-Kapowsin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-11.

Spanaway Lake will welcome Yelm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spanaway Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Yelm likes a good challenge. As for Graham-Kapowsin, they will head out to square off against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham-Kapowsin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
