Soccer Game Preview: Everman vs. Cleburne

Everman is 0-9 against Cleburne since February of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Everman has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Everman came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Centennial, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Everman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Centennial are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, Cleburne kept a clean sheet against Mansfield Timberview on Tuesday. They blew past Wolves 9-0. Cleburne might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by five goals or more this season.

Cleburne has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-2-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 53 goals over those nine contests. As for Everman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
