Basketball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Greenville last Friday, Atlanta Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers fell just short of the Bowdon Red Devils by a score of 59-57 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 68-50.

Bowdon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Prothro, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 18 rebounds. Prothro is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Timothy Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.

Atlanta Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Bowdon, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Atlanta Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bowdon, they have already played their next contest, a 63-57 defeat against Manchester on the 13th.
