Recap: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Freedom Patriots
This season hasn't been kind to the Strawberry Crest Chargers, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They suffered a tough 64-42 defeat at the hands of Freedom on Friday. While losing is never fun, Strawberry Crest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 746th, while Freedom is ranked 344th).
Despite the loss, Strawberry Crest still got an impressive performance from Cameron Crowe, who scored 19 points along with 5 assists. Jayson Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Strawberry Crest's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Freedom, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.
Strawberry Crest will be playing at home against Middleton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to face off against Armwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
