Basketball Recap: Morgan Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Barron Frazer and CJ Christopher Williams

Basketball Recap: Morgan Academy Senators vs. Fort Dale Academy Eagles
The Morgan Academy Senators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-35 walloping at the hands of Fort Dale Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Morgan Academy in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.
CJ Christopher Williams and Barron Frazer certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Williams scored 16 points, while Frazer scored five points along with 14 rebounds. Frazer hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was William Ousley, who scored four points.
Morgan Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Fort Dale Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Morgan Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Volunteers at 4:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Monroe Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Fort Dale Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Bessemer Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
