Basic waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 68-60 win over the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Basic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenny Williams led the charge by going 7-for-17 on his way to 18 points and six boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in each of the last eight games he's played. TJ Edmond was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Southeast Career Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaxson Grant, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Fletcher Gilbert, who had ten points.

Basic's record is now 8-13. As for Southeast Career Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Basic will square off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Williams and M.J. Tucker. As for Southeast Career Tech, they have already played their next contest, a 64-60 victory against Chaparral on the 23rd.
