Football Recap: Cumberland County Falls to Livingston Academy in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Cumberland County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Livingston Academy Wildcats and fell 47-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Jets have suffered against the Wildcats since August 31, 2018.

Kaden Weitzel was a one-man wrecking crew For Livingston Academy. as he rushed for 178 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 70 receiving yards. Weitzel showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 51 yards. Adrian Jenkins was another key player, throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns.

Cumberland County has already played their next match, a 12-10 loss against Monterey on the 29th. As for Livingston Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 38-3 win against Warren County on the 29th.
