Eastern was sadly handed a defeat on Monday, but Averi Tabor did her best to prevent it. Tabor was unstoppable, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Tabor and Eastern will square off against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
