Football Recap: Saraland Spartans vs. Pike Road Patriots
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Saraland had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pike Road Patriots with a sharp 56-32 victory. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
A big part of Saraland's win came down to the chemistry between Jamison Roberts and his top target Deshawn Spencer. Roberts threw for 352 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes while Spencer gained 313 total yards and five touchdowns. Spencer's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.
Saraland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
