Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Paulding County

Allatoona came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Paulding County, but Sebastien Okullo wouldn't allow it. The Paulding County Patriots managed a 69-65 victory over the Allatoona Buccaneers on Saturday thanks in part to Okullo, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (four).

The win made it two in a row for Paulding County and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Allatoona, they moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Paulding County and Allatoona should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Paulding County (ranked 145th) will meet Adairsville (ranked 294th) at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Paulding County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Allatoona (ranked 185th) will meet Blessed Trinity (ranked 400th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
