Basketball Game Preview: Orcas Island Vikings vs. Friday Harbor Wolverines

Orcas Island and Friday Harbor are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Orcas Island Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Friday Harbor Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Friday Harbor took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Orcas Island, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Orcas Island strolled past Lopez with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.

Meanwhile, Friday Harbor came up short against Mount Vernon Christian on Friday and fell 58-45. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

Orcas Island's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Friday Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Orcas Island and Friday Harbor were neck-and-neck when the teams last played two weeks ago, but Orcas Island came up empty-handed after a 59-58 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Friday Harbor's Pierce Kleine, who posted 29 points.
