If Fountain-Fort Carson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vista Ridge, they should've done a better job of containing Zay Thurman. The Vista Ridge Wolves came out on top against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans by a score of 55-45 on Monday thanks in part to Thurman, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (four).

Jordan Scales was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Fountain-Fort Carson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Termaine Shaw, who went 5 for 8 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Ulmer, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 14 points.

Vista Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Vista Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-52 victory against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 6th. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-62 loss against Liberty on the 4th.
